WE HAVE HEAT! WOOHOO!

I am very moved by your response to my appeal for help in raising money for the heating system in the yurt and ongoing yurt maintenance.

In less that 2 weeks I have received $950.00 in support. Thank you! Thank you for the financial support, for offering workshops as fund raisers, for the beautiful cards and letters, for all of the encouragement and especially for sharing with me why Deerheart has heart and meaning for you.

This helps me understand that holding the space for the cultivation of silence and expressions rooted in silence does have value for the community and I feel very encouraged to continue. Again, Thank you!

The Day of the Dead Celebration was lovely. Thank you Ambika, Yamaya, Iyana, Kees, Jenny, Sharon, Anne, Joanne, Ceridwen and Arrowyn.

Welcome to the Catastrophe of Silence!
Sunday November 15 - Wednesday November 18th

This is an opportunity to join us in silence. The schedule will be as follows:

Sunday evening 7:00 satsang followed by 30 min. sit Monday and Tuesday 7-7:50, 8-8:50, 9-9:50(yoga), 10-10:50 lunch break 1-1:50, 2-2:50, 3-3:50, satsang 4-6pm followed by 10 minutes of silence -end of day. Wednesday same as above except finishing at 11am.

This is open to everyone regardless of the type of meditation that you do. Join us for an hour, a day or for the entire retreat. We ask that you respect the silence and refrain from making eye contact. This is a non residential retreat so please bring your own lunch. Satsangs are on audio tape with Adayshanti. adyashanti.org

RETREAT ON HORNBY THIS WINTER:

Main house rental at Deerheart Sanctuary January 1st - February 15th 2010. Utilities, wifi, wood, use of yurt temple included for $600/month. Two mature, lovely cats come with the rental...oh yes, and our deer, Flora. Great for yoga, meditation get away! House is comfortable for 2 but will sleep 4.
